The Karate Kid (2010)

Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith and kid from "The Pursuit of Happyness") had won hearts by his thespian talent. In spite of his age (just 12 years), his performance was proficient and polished. It's must watch movie for this "Karate Kid".

Jackie Chan is in a different but the perfect role of Kung Fu mentor.

I would say, story line is nothing great or surprising, but important thing is how you represent that in front of the audience (in a good way) is the skill. And Director (Harald Zwart) never fails in this case. One of the well known quote which is used in this movis is "Life will knock us down, but we can choose whether or not to stand back up." And indeed its true from all the aspects.

In between, movie is a dearth of consistent pace, similar story line and predictable events. But merely the final kick that won the trophy for this movie. Seriously, few of the climax scenes are with emotionally palpable tone.

Overall good movie with ulterior motives lies in the line "...WHETHER OR NOT TO STAND BACK UP".

When Harry Met Sally... (1989)

This movie represents the typically western culture. That's why this movie has many positive reviews. I am not saying movies is not worth, but where do you stand, and looking from that angle your opinion might be dissimilar. Main theme of the movie is “Men and women can't be friends because the sex part always gets in the way”. But this is not the case with Indian culture. Or this theme might be used to build the characters of the movie – Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan)

If you are fan of Meg Ryan, this movie really worth watching. She had delivered a splendid performance. Specially one scene from the hotel, where she and Harry went for the dinner and she imitated a faking orgasm.

Director (Rob Reiner) had succeeded to reveal the characters politically. The movie proceeds with some stories of old couples. And Director fixed these stories in between the movie very shrewdly.

If you know the movie “HUM-TUM” story, theme and characters are entirely based on this movie. “HUM-TUM” is typically example of how to create a counterfeit honor without getting noticed.

Bring It On (2000)

This movie comes up with the mediocre storyline however it was freshly presented by the director (Peyton Reed). Movie is all about sexy moves, dance, cheerleaders, college life, traditional rivals and love story. To some extent it drives you to your college days.

The Cheerleading Competition is the main theme and all the characters are revolved around it. Rancho Carne High School (RCH) announces their new cheerleader captain Torrance Shipman (Spiderman starer Kirsten Dunst) for new year to continue RCH's journey of winning National Championship for consecutive sixth time. In her new persona, Torrance realized that RCH team was betraying their competitor college East Compton Clovers and were winning the Championship. Now, skipper decided to believe in their potential and to bring back their fete by trying out various ways. In between they failed, struggled and some part is really the best and fun to watch.

Overall entertaining movie.

La vita è bella (1997)

In simple words... LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL...

This movie teaches you, life is really really beautiful in spite of whatever state you are in. I really want to accolade Roberto Benigni's genuine efforts for producing this master piece.

This movie is not throwing any louder message to you, not any sleazy violence irrespective of its chronicle which is based on the Word War II and Jewish. It's all about your true representation of the character and how you tweak the situation.

You never know when Giosué Orefice, Guido Orefice and Dora became the part of your family and you just fall in love with them.

This little boy Joshua aka Giosué Orefice is so cute, so innocent that many time you just cry / scream for him. You keep on instructing him several times (man I literally did that).

Everyone could imagine the worst part of the life and we need to learn the harmonious way of living... Just try it out... LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

There is something about MOVIES...

In this epoch, everyone wants to be a movie critic, whether that could be a journalist, talented emcee on the TV, websites, witty radio jockeys, your best friend, your loved ones, your kids, your neighbors, and off course YOURSELF. Why you should be left behind the race. So the question is, if everyone is the critic then where is the audience? Who is going to enjoy the movie? Who is going to acclaim for the movie? Where are the whistles and yells during the show? Yes, it is there, but at the present time it's cut down! And it's cut down by a noticeable amount.

I don't want to be a critic, but there is something in me by which I cannot prevent myself by putting my thoughts in front of you. By this you might me thinking, I am feigning, let it be. Whatever I am expressing, those are absolutely my sentiments. If anyone wants to be abided by with it, that would be delightful thing for me.

From today, I have planned to blog something on the movies, as much as possible. You could find the same comments on http://www.imdb.com/ by me. My efforts are unprejudiced and fair.

Shenal's Wedding - 29 MAY 2010

JOURNEY BEGINS

We gathered at our new home - Avanti Heights. After some noisy quarrel (a tu late ala ahes... tu lawakar ala ahes... tula saway whyayala pahije... ti ajun anghol karat ahe... kiti wajalet, KB tikade ordat asel... blah... blah... blah...), we were ready for the odyssey, our mind jutted towards Ozar.

HALADI

As we reached to the destination, everyone was cherishing HALADI program. No wonder why we should miss that part (these are not my thoughts). Immediately Mew and D were charged like rabies dogs. They were running behind every possible option to find a bakra, unfortunately there were only six victims - Mahesh, Aniket, Rahul, AB, Abhijit and I. And finally they tranquilized.

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED...

RUKWAT
Mew as usual was displaying her artistic skills by dressing up all the Rukwat artifacts with her P.A.- D.

Rukwat had added the grace to the ceremony.

MANGAL – ASHTAKA
What a virtuoso performance by AB and his father. Actually, I am not a genius about such things, but whatever I had heard was truly remarkable. It's not an easy thing to compose and deliver it with the caliber.
As Mangal-ashtaka was over, couple was locked up for the new beginning.
And Snehal embarked upon a new role - ET UXOR.
The couple might be thinking - this contemporary moment should remain as is.

KB - MEW - D's FASHION

No wonder in this word, girls are so much fond of jewelry, fabric, cosmetics. These three samples are also one of them. Anyway, after their drapery they were looking like a prima donna.
They were preparing since an hour but unfortunately their show was not long lasting. Whatever time they had, even they were not satisfied with it. Even if you ask them to live like this for the whole life, they won't mind it.
To show off a bit with their charisma was the main reason to attend the wedding. Somehow they had succeeded, but the unhappy part was, we were leading towards the climax, and the show was about to finish (for us – but its a beginning for the newlywedded couple) in the couple of minutes.

If we are talking about the fashion our men contenders were not far behind. All were dashing, daring, like Sanju baba ESHATYLE, specially Aniket and Rahul. Everyone one was bachelor (except me :-( ). All were expecting some miracle to happen and they might get their dream girl. Search is going on. Still these Bachelors are attending all possible weddings to find their girl.

Dear God... Please help me find a gr8 soulmate...

RETURN JOURNEY

While driving back we had a new chauffeur. When D was driving, initially everyone had their heart in their mouth. However, to surprise everyone is my D's specialty. And that could be in cooking, singing (remember Chubby Chicks... :-) ), swimming, driving or German.
On the back seat, there was some talk show going on. Honorable guest was Rahul and rest of the people were emcee. I was not a part of that discussion but few lines which I remembered I am quoting here. During the discussion, Rahul showed his managerial skills by answering every question equivocally. Even to answer in a such way, your mind has to be shrewd. Ummm!!!
Unfortunately, I was not a part of that discussion, so for more info you may co-ordinate with Mew, MO or Aniket. (The story was about Rahul's love affairs. Yes, affairsssssss. Including the latest one :-) )

Hahahahahahahahaha......

Shehals Kelwan - 21 MAY 2010

Today we had a blast!

I am damn sure Snehal as well as Rahul must have been flattered by our bash.

These people (Mew, Barso, KB and my D) definitely deserves a splendid baksheesh.
This is not only for their efforts but also to succeed our wonderful gathering in fact "Snehals Kelwan".

Mew 10/10 for your preparation and stylishness
KB 10/10 for your lovely hair cut and awesome salad
Barso 10/10 for your hilarious mirth and zealousness
D 10/10 for your special and amusing presence

These girls can do everything with great panache. Hat's off to you...!!!

Without these girls I just can't imagine how we (AB, Abhi) may withstand. (What say AB, Abhi???)
Sunny, Rahul, MO you may need some time to understand such things.

Without any doubt Mew and Barso have marvelous culinary skills. But there is a old saying "Two Captains will sink the Ship." So my generous advice to you my dear friends, use your skills as compliment to each other, then you may dominate this whole world.

As always our born comedian AB was playing all his clowning acts and tricks as he entered into the zone till the end of the show.

Sunny's warm reply to every situation was adding more spiciness to the environment.

Abhi the show stopper and as per his role he came late into the picture. Everyone was just eagerly waiting to listen to his voice. He can just stop everything and everyone. See Abhi, you must observe your ability. Without uttering a word people were aping you. Just imagine if you would have talked a bit more, the world would be at your feet. So next time we want some different Abhi. Just surprise everyone with your change.

Rahul was quite busy with his cell. Kindly adjusted. And Rahul just think of this message "Jewan Zala Kaay?". Everyone could imagine his situation.

MO, my dear friend, we met after a long time. You have put on too much. Just start some exercise / yoga to be fit.
Because of MO's valuable tips to my ineffectual D, she has improved a lot. Day by day she is commanding me like never before.

While playing carom, I remembered a game in which MO and Barso (two Marwadis) had stolen the game from their (Aniket - Rahul: our gay friends) mouth. That was really a nice game.!!!
Sunny and Rahul's combination was deadly. Uhu uhu... I mean throughout the game Sunny was properly guiding the amateur Rahul, to make some efforts to at least touch any piece. On the other hand Rahul was purposefully missing the piece to learn more techniques from Sunny. Uhu uhu... Might be they want to develop their "Dostana" chemistry.
Barso was laughing and rolling all over the floor when we played carom. For that moment she was the "Queen" of the show.
In between the game KB, Snehal and D were trying to exercise their finger tips. And because of their huge efforts by striking the striker, they had some massage from the great Barso.

Mew, food menu - exceptionally KHATARNAK...!!! All items were tempting & finger licking good!!! [:)]
The main reason for less consumption of food was KB, Barso and Mew.
Now a days these girls are more abstemious. Specially KB and Mew. They are consuming food like they are planning to participate in a beauty contest [:P]. But eat and exercise regularly and be fit throughout your life.
"What fits your busy schedule better, exercising one hour a day or being dead for 24 hours." Just off the track one thought.

Lastly we wish Shehal to come back as early as possible to complete our ceremony... to have KEL on KELWAN...
Wish you both a very happy & prosperous married life!!!

I am always thankful to God to have such friends.

Throughout our lives we may love each other... unconditionally...
Whenever there are conditions, personally I would call it as a... egoism.
