The Karate Kid (2010)

Jaden Smith (son of Will Smith and kid from "The Pursuit of Happyness") had won hearts by his thespian talent. In spite of his age (just 12 years), his performance was proficient and polished. It's must watch movie for this "Karate Kid".

Jackie Chan is in a different but the perfect role of Kung Fu mentor.

I would say, story line is nothing great or surprising, but important thing is how you represent that in front of the audience (in a good way) is the skill. And Director (Harald Zwart) never fails in this case. One of the well known quote which is used in this movis is "Life will knock us down, but we can choose whether or not to stand back up." And indeed its true from all the aspects.

In between, movie is a dearth of consistent pace, similar story line and predictable events. But merely the final kick that won the trophy for this movie. Seriously, few of the climax scenes are with emotionally palpable tone.

Overall good movie with ulterior motives lies in the line "...WHETHER OR NOT TO STAND BACK UP".

When Harry Met Sally... (1989)

This movie represents the typically western culture. That's why this movie has many positive reviews. I am not saying movies is not worth, but where do you stand, and looking from that angle your opinion might be dissimilar. Main theme of the movie is “Men and women can't be friends because the sex part always gets in the way”. But this is not the case with Indian culture. Or this theme might be used to build the characters of the movie – Harry (Billy Crystal) and Sally (Meg Ryan)

If you are fan of Meg Ryan, this movie really worth watching. She had delivered a splendid performance. Specially one scene from the hotel, where she and Harry went for the dinner and she imitated a faking orgasm.

Director (Rob Reiner) had succeeded to reveal the characters politically. The movie proceeds with some stories of old couples. And Director fixed these stories in between the movie very shrewdly.

If you know the movie “HUM-TUM” story, theme and characters are entirely based on this movie. “HUM-TUM” is typically example of how to create a counterfeit honor without getting noticed.

Bring It On (2000)

This movie comes up with the mediocre storyline however it was freshly presented by the director (Peyton Reed). Movie is all about sexy moves, dance, cheerleaders, college life, traditional rivals and love story. To some extent it drives you to your college days.

The Cheerleading Competition is the main theme and all the characters are revolved around it. Rancho Carne High School (RCH) announces their new cheerleader captain Torrance Shipman (Spiderman starer Kirsten Dunst) for new year to continue RCH's journey of winning National Championship for consecutive sixth time. In her new persona, Torrance realized that RCH team was betraying their competitor college East Compton Clovers and were winning the Championship. Now, skipper decided to believe in their potential and to bring back their fete by trying out various ways. In between they failed, struggled and some part is really the best and fun to watch.

Overall entertaining movie.

La vita è bella (1997)

In simple words... LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL...

This movie teaches you, life is really really beautiful in spite of whatever state you are in. I really want to accolade Roberto Benigni's genuine efforts for producing this master piece.

This movie is not throwing any louder message to you, not any sleazy violence irrespective of its chronicle which is based on the Word War II and Jewish. It's all about your true representation of the character and how you tweak the situation.

You never know when Giosué Orefice, Guido Orefice and Dora became the part of your family and you just fall in love with them.

This little boy Joshua aka Giosué Orefice is so cute, so innocent that many time you just cry / scream for him. You keep on instructing him several times (man I literally did that).

Everyone could imagine the worst part of the life and we need to learn the harmonious way of living... Just try it out... LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL!

There is something about MOVIES...

In this epoch, everyone wants to be a movie critic, whether that could be a journalist, talented emcee on the TV, websites, witty radio jockeys, your best friend, your loved ones, your kids, your neighbors, and off course YOURSELF. Why you should be left behind the race. So the question is, if everyone is the critic then where is the audience? Who is going to enjoy the movie? Who is going to acclaim for the movie? Where are the whistles and yells during the show? Yes, it is there, but at the present time it's cut down! And it's cut down by a noticeable amount.

I don't want to be a critic, but there is something in me by which I cannot prevent myself by putting my thoughts in front of you. By this you might me thinking, I am feigning, let it be. Whatever I am expressing, those are absolutely my sentiments. If anyone wants to be abided by with it, that would be delightful thing for me.

From today, I have planned to blog something on the movies, as much as possible. You could find the same comments on http://www.imdb.com/ by me. My efforts are unprejudiced and fair.
